Jamie Juckett is a self-taught cabinetmaker who specializes in the periods of Jacobean (also referred to as Pilgrim Period or Early Colonial Period) William and Mary and Queen Anne.

As a one-man shop, he does all the construction including any carving, which is all done by hand, as well as any paint decoration. He also utilizes many 18th century tools he has colllected to give his pieces the hand made look his customers love. All his pieces have a hand rubbed finish to add to their traditional feel. Jamie also mills a lot of his wood from native trees (which include oak, cherry, walnut, maple). His cabinetmaking career began several years ago when his wife fell in love with a Boston high chest estimated at over $100,000.00 (well out of their price range) and he decide to build her one instead. Upon receiving many compliments on the piece he began to give serious consideration to honing his cabinetmaking skills and combing this craft with his interests in early antiques and history. He now does both, dealing in antiques with his wife, but devotes most of his attention to constructing early furniture. from the hands-on observation of many early pieces he is able to construct for his customers as authentic a piece as possible.
