Deborah J. Rock has been painting for as long as she can remember. She was raised primarily in the Philadelphia area, and was heavily influenced by the history of the region, the wonderful antiques, beautiful scenery and the Pennsylvania culture. The memories have stayed with her and significantly influence her work today.
As a member of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration she has studied reverse glass painting, gold leaf, theorem country painting, faux finishing, and mural painting.
Most recently her focus has been the interpretation of historical water colors.
Rock is passionate about her painting, as she is in teaching water color. She believes in "pay it forward", and is happy to share all that has been taught to her to anyone who may want the knowledge.
