Ginger Cazan was born and raised in Central Ohio. Married to George (aka Grumpy) for almost 30 years, she resides in the country just west of Columbus, Ohio, with four dogs and two cats in the log home she and her husband built in 1990. They have two grown children Brandy and Chad.
A love of antiques and early American history inspired Cazan to learn many traditional crafts.
"I fell in love with rug hooking a few years ago when a customer showed me the first simple steps of hooking," she explained. "As a self starter and one not afraid to try new things, I taught myself to hook, dye and design my own rugs."
With six week's of general pottery classes she taught herself to make redware pottery and began selling it at antique shows and small craft shows in 1998. She started out making traditional slab redware with traditional designs (which she still does) but now also does her own designs on rich red earthen clay. Her husband, now retired, now helps in the pottery. Together they travel around the country doing Folk Art shows and enjoying the country life.
