Debbie Dubina is a resident of Columbia Connecticut, and has lived in New England all her life. She inherited a passion for antiques and early American primitives from her father, twenty eight years ago.
Dubina began studying the art of rug hooking and was introduced to primitive rug making which changed her life. She discovered she could express her love of the past through recreating fragments of that life in hooked rugs.
Dubina started designing her own rugs and dying her own wool. This gave her the ability to personalize the rugs, and allowed her to express a vision of the past with warm, rich and earthy tones. Her hooking has expanded in the last few years, and she is designing for different companies. Dubina's goal is to inspire people to keep the values and memories of the past alive in the present.
