Carolyn Fankhauser began stenciling and graining in about 1983 when a dear friend asked her if she was interested in experimenting with graining. In the beginning her husband, Ric, made most of her wood products but as her business grew, she found area woodworkers who make the boxes and blanket chests that she designs.
Many of her boxes are now made by a young Amish man from central Ohio. In addition, she goes to estate sales and auctions searching for interesting pieces she can refurbish for those who want genuine antiques with modern finishes.
