Miscellaneous includes everything without a dedicated category and runs the range from fake food to musical instruments, from scrimshaw to sailors' valentines. Rather that have a number of one-item categories, we have lumped them together here. This arrangement in no way disparages the skill or scholarship of the artisans making these items. Some are treasures that simply defy categorization.
