The Spotted Hare
| Lori Ann Baker Corelis has been designing and sewing heirloom quality rabbits, teddy bears and other characters for almost 20 years. Her inspiration is often gleaned from characters in turn of the century story
books as well as from her own collection of antiques including vintage toys, textiles and Americana. She also creates pin cushions and sewing boxes inspired by her collection of vintage sewing implements.
As a young girl growing up in a creative family, Corelis learned to sew from her talented mother. Her sister Lanna is also an accomplished seamstress. Her brother is a musician and her father had a "bit of a poet" in him.
Lorišs work has been seen in Country Home, Teddy Bear Review, Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion, and Australian Homespun She is honored to add Early American Life to this list in having been selected for the 2006 Directory of American Crafts.
Corelis lives in central Ohio with her husband Michael, together they have 3 children and a silly Australian Shepherd named Lacy Lu, who keeps Corelis company as she sews.
